CLEAN STREAM AFTERBURNER SYSTEMS
The process of commercial coffee roasting produces emissions which are harmful to the environment and the pungent odor and smoke will no doubt irritate surrounding businesses and residents. While our Smoke Suppression Systems will take care of smoke on smaller roasters up to 15-20lb. Afterburners will handle roasters much larger than that. In such cases the solution is simple, install a Thermal or Catalytic Oxidizer= (Afterburner) downstream of the chaff collector. Clean Stream Afterburner systems use a powerful natural gas or propane burner to heat the coffee roaster waste gas to 800-1200 F. This combustion process breaks down the harmful by-products, particulate and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). The resulting exhaust stream is clean and virtually free of smoke and odor.
